During the winter of 03 I crushed my wrist in a Construction accident, The life I knew came to a stop, Weight lifting, Mountain biking, Skydiving, And part time Personal Trainer on the side, Being a full time single parent, and raising 3 children alone. It was a very hard change for me both emotional and financial. The Doc did surgery in the spring of 04 took a piece of bone from my Hip, to add to the 12'' steel plate they put in my hand & arm, total fusion of left wrist, Before the surgery I was working out withwith 300 # pds on the bench, the Doc told me I would never lift heavy again, taken this winter Feb 07 in my Rec room, I am now hitting #275 one rep on the bench, It is very hard to handle the iron, but my love for lifting, I have not let it stop me, I am 5'-5'' 165 pds, When people say they cant work out, I love to tell them about this, I have worked in Health Care, I do understand there are medical conditions that prevent some, But as you know most just look for a reason. Granted most do not have a weight room like mine, So I can put more time in, If you have any input, I am always willing to learn, And keep up your website it is great, Thanks for letting me tell my story Alan, Sincerely Verl.
