I started lifting at an early age & through school, not much lifting in my 20's & 30's. In January of 2006 at 41, I started to work out regularly, basically body building. January 2008 I started to train for powerlifting with my training partner Andrew Smith, And I decided to enter my first competition, a Bench Press & Deadlift competition at the YMCA 2/24/08 I lifted for 2 personal records 260 bench & 355 Deadlift for a 1st place in each for RAW 165 lb, 40-44 Age Group. And I loved it. I hit all my lifts easily. My best squat in the gym was 305, but with my new Strangulator knee wraps, I'm sure to pass that easy!!! I am now looking to enter a full meet, with a goal to break 1000 lb Total. Your never to old to start powerlifting!! Now I'm hooked on powerlifting and APT Pro Gear, Great gear Great service.
