Jared Menne, Born December 28, 1976 in Pennsylvania. Began competing in Bench Press meets at 19 yrs old. Trained under WWE Hall of Famer, Afa "The Wild Samoan" for a career in Professional Wrestling at the age of 20. Wrestled current WWE Superstar " Batista" in one of Batista's first matches. Left the pro wrestling industry in August 2004 to concentrate on Powerlifting.
Began training again with Wallace "Puggy" McFarland and Jimmy Murphy. Both held World Records in different federations. Was joined later on by John Sanders, my brother Mike, Jay Alisaukas, and Craig "Gunsmoke" Leymeister. After being stuck at 525 LBS Bench Press, I sought the help of Mike Miller. Almost immediately I was in the mid 600s. I also received valuable assistance from Brian "Powerfreak" weston and Gene "Big Dog" Rychlak, Jr.
The year 2007 was very good to me. I hit my first IPA World Record with a 740 LBS Bench Press at Power Palooza 9 in April, and received a ranking of 31 in the Top 100 as recognized by Powerlifting USA Magazine. On December 8, 2007, I achieved my first 800 LBS Bench Press and broke my own IPA SHW POLICE WORLD RECORD Bench Press. This was very special to me as a lot of family and friends were there to share the moment with me.
I am very greatful to those who paved the way for us. I am thankful to the people who have supported our team in one way or another. Without them we would not be able to put the time and effort into what we need to do. Thanks to all of you....you know who you are.
