So far I've lost over 60 pounds, still have 30 more that I'd like to loose in the next year. Since I was working out at a powerlifting gym I was adventually noticed and recruited into the sport. Once I started training for powerlifting I gainted a lot of strength quickly and my first competition was in November 2006 with the USAPL. My best lifts for that meet were squat 245, bench 150, deadlift 260. I broke 3 state records for that meet. I also have the 20th best squat and the 18th best bench in the Nation for my weight class. Immediately after that meet I did a meet for the USPF. I added 5 lbs to my bench and 15 lbs to my deadlift. I broke 2 more records in the squat and deadlift. I also became the Rhode Island State Champ. I was suppose to compete in Nationals in 2007 but I could not afford to do so. I was very happy when it was announced that the 2008 USPF Nationals would be held in Rhode Island, so that is the meet I am currently training for. Right now my raw numbers are squat 265, bench 165, and dealift 275. I am also 100% drug free and use the most basic gear.
