3 Time NYS powerlifting champ USPF  (the judging was real and it was tuff )
706 deadlift at 198
705 Squat at 198
430 bench at 198
the 706 deadlift and my 1830 total at 198 were state records.

Alan, some feedback for you.
   1) I put my belt on by using a method I picked up off a Ed Coan video. I use the upright of the power racks or in my basement I use a jack post pole to pull the belt as tight as I can get it.
2) I am one of those lifters that has to roll my own wraps and wrap my own legs.
I like my wraps rolled very snug but not "step on tight"
Ok with that said I decided to try the Black Reaper.
My workout was heavy triples. The short version is "WOW nice wrap".
First of all I rolled the wraps with the APT logo in so when I wrapped my knees the logo was out and the all black wrap just had a tough look to it.
Now the meat and potato's
As I started wrapping my knees I felt the wraps stretch pretty easy compared to the more radical "convict wrap". So before I lifted I was thinking "just another training wrap". NOT! Once under the bar these wraps preformed! On my second set of triples I even paused my 3rd rep at the bottom and still shot out of the hole. (no suit just wraps and a belt). And.. when I use a training wrap there is almost never any urgency to get them off after the set. When I finished these heavy sets with  the Black Reaper I needed to get both wraps off and my belt lose at the same time. You know the feeling.
I liked the way I could stretch these wraps myself and still get top performance  out of the wrap. I could defiantly use these as a contest wrap.
My trials will continue but since I dont have or trust a trainer to wrap my knees for me I think Ive reached the Extreme end of the wraps I can effectively use wrapping my own knees with the Convict wrap.
