Alan and APT Pro Gear, I would like to thank you for all you have done for me through my sponsorship it has been a huge help. You make top notch products. Thanks for letting me review your new APEX shirt. This shirt is absolutly amazing. When I first recieved the shirt I couldn't wait to get to the gym to try it out. The sleeves are spot on, you have enough room to pull the shirt right where it needs to be and still have the right amount of bite. I was able to breathe freely and move in the APEX unlike many other shirts I have tired. The APEX is one of the best shirts out there if not THE best. I look forward to hopefully trying a double ply of maybe even a triple.
The neck of the APEX is very sturdy, the back has a low cut in it to help prevent sliding on the bench. The APEX allows enough room for your lats to flare unlike many of the others. As soon as you put the APEX on you are ready to bench, there isn't much that has to be done. The APEX is easy on but tightens down nicely when you add some weight to it. The material felt like my katana but when I put the APEX on and added some weight I knew the APEX had the ability to hit numbers I haven't seen before. My best raw touch and go bench is 510 lbs and equipped of 605lb with the APEX I was able to handle 655 with lots of confidence. With some training in the APEX I am not far off from hitting a very high equipped personal best.
The lockout out of the APEX is unreal. I smoked 635 from mid range with the APEX. I could feel the pop from mid range I can only imagine what the APEX is gonna do at full range. The top end support is like no other. When lowering the weight you can feel this support in your tris and rear delts, with support in these areas the only thing you can do is move heavy weight. The APEX is well designed shirt and actually knows the areas that a bencher needs support in. Great job on the construction on the APEX.
I plan on using the APEX in my next bench press competition.
In the videos I am wearing APT's 2XH Wrist Wraps, these things add crazy support best wrap I have ever tried. You have to loosen them after every set.
